Dear Friends,
Jesus and his disciples relied on people financially supporting his ministry along with his disciples. St. Paul relied on the generosity of people who financially supported his ministry. It is interesting that God of power and might allows His works to rely on people choosing to give and share what they have to accomplish His saving deeds. The God of vulnerability is made present again and again in scripture stories and in our present lives today. All that we do as a parish community, relies on people choosing to share what they have to minister to all in the name of the Lord. Vulnerability means that we risk our success on those who choose to give and we also risk being told no from our own parishioners. This is what it means to minister in God’s name.
So this Commitment Sunday we ask all families to remember what this community strives to do, bring the good news of Jesus Christ to every person. Jesus, His disciples, St. Paul and every man and woman who has served God relies on people saying yes.
Please remember your parish community when you consider your financial commitment for this coming year. Please complete your 2022/2023 Commitment Card while you are at Mass this weekend, go to our website to make the year long commitment, or call the parish office to speak to a person who can guide you through the process.

Our outreach to serving all people is made easier when we can fully concentrate on our service without worry of finances. We are so grateful for the many years of parishioners keeping us moving forward.
Peace in Christ,
Fr. Eric
