Dear Friends,
This Tuesday, the 2nd of August, our Diocese will have the installation of our new Bishop, John Dolan. Through the Diocesan social media and website, one can view the installation Mass, and we will forward the YouTube video through our email Connection. We welcome our new Bishop and look forward to his vision for our Diocese. We ask God’s blessings on Bishop Olmsted as he begins his retirement. We keep him in our prayers on his new stage of life.
We say thank you and goodbye to Brian Cannon as he moves to a new job at Notre Dame Prep. Brian is very gifted and we are grateful for the talents that he shared with our community. We also say thank you and goodbye to Fernando Gomez who has accepted the position of Philanthropic Advisor at the Catholic Community Foundation. We thank you for all that you have done for St. Patrick. Our best wishes for both.
Signs at our entrance will remind parishioners that they are free to wear masks if they wish. The numbers of a new variant are up, and we are coming across a good number of parishioners who have caught the variant and suffered through the illness. Currently the ICU stays and deaths find the numbers are not high.
We remind everyone to take good care of vulnerable people in our families, in the people we encounter. Our Sunday Mass is still online to view if, for any reason, one cannot attend Mass in person. Disciples always serve the vulnerable.
Peace in Christ,
Fr. Eric
