Dear Friends,

Every year at this time there are men who have been accepted into the seminary to begin their studies and discernment about the priesthood. In August,1979 I entered the college seminary in Santa Fe, New Mexico. That is where my journey began, and I hold many good memories of my formation there.  

Our thoughts now can turn to one of our parishioners who will be entering the seminary for the Diocese of Phoenix. Christopher Schneider has been coming to St. Patrick for over a year and has been discerning about entering the seminary. He was accepted and on August 15 he will go to the Nazareth House in Phoenix. It is a place where the seminarians live and go to school at Arizona State University. Christopher is 25 years old and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and is a graduate of the University of Memphis. 

Our parish will be supporting him and I am inviting parishioners to support him through writing or offering any support you wish. His address is: Nazareth House, 3437 North 18th Ave. Phoenix, Arizona 85015. We keep Christopher in our prayers.
